Jerry Smith |
Jerry has
spent 40 years in the construction business, while proudly
serving 4 of those years in the Air Force. He has been in
Lubbock since 1973 and eventually spent 8 years as Director of
Building Services for the City of Lubbock where he supervised
the construction for 220 City of Lubbock buildings. Jerry
started his own construction company in 1992 and partnered
with Tim Minnix in 2001. Jerry's portfolio of experience spans
the general construction business and he is one of the most
respected contractors on the South Plains. The construction
business has been personally very rewarding to Jerry and
allowed him to give back to the community through his church,
The Children's Home and the Texas Boys Ranch. Jerry has been
married for over 25 years and spends as much time as possible
with his kids and grandkids.
Jerry believes, "There is great satisfaction in being able to
provide a client with a product they have envisioned." Jerry
is committed to understanding and fulfilling the needs of the
customers of Minnix by forming long-term relationships and
producing a superior product.

Tim Minnix |
The Minnix
name has been associated with construction since 1970. The
Minnix family has been building commercial buildings,
apartments and residential homes for over 35 years. Tim has
carried on the Minnix tradition by partnering with Jerry Smith
to create Minnix Commercial Construction. Tim believes,
"Customers Always Come First." His company is based on
honesty, integrity and a commitment to always do the right
thing.
In addition to Minnix Commercial Construction, Tim enjoys
being one of the owners of Keller Williams Realty. Keller
Williams provides commercial and residential realty services.
Tim enjoys creating opportunities for others to invest in real
estate and has always loved the opportunity and challenge
provided by commercial construction.
Tim has also spent a lifetime serving others. After marrying
Connie over 30 years ago, they have spent many years in
ministry to others. This includes an inner city ministry in
New York City, Director of Day Break Counseling Center in
Oregon and Administrative Director of Heartbeat in New
Hampshire. Tim believes, "Though profit matters, it's not
about the money. What I enjoy most is helping meet other's
needs, fulfilling their goals and dreams, and helping them
reach their full potential."
